Poultry Field Product Specialist is the first in line to investigate and solve nutritional related Customer Action Request (CAR). He/She must pro-actively communicate with product manager about (suspected) feed related CAR’s, market positioning in relation to competitor, if feed is matching expectations and technical performance of feed and support in solving and improving. He/She must support in maintaining and improving market positioning of De Heus (investigate competitors) with first responsibility to investigate in own region.

Poultry Field Product Specialist

Job Description:

  • Pro-actively maintain, develop, and upgrade knowledge about nutrition/feed management in all his aspects by attending conferences, study literature. Develop understanding of farm management and diseases in relation to nutrition to find solutions to solve CAR/improve performance by meetings with experts, like international specialists.
  • Utilise expertise knowledge to advice technical sales and sales on their services and solutions to meet the expectations of a specific customer and support them in the day-to-day activities (coordinating role the job level of the manager).
  • Together with technical sales or sales manager support, visit farm or prospects, and give nutritional advice.
  • Properly work with customers about feed management, feed program and feed storage.
  • Support sales team with knowledge about feed portfolio, feed management and feed storage.
  • Collaborate with sales team on exhibitions and seminars.
  • Provide high standards of ongoing training for the technical sales and sales team.
  • Provide training about feed portfolio and feed management for new technical sales and sales.
  • Participate in sales meeting and scientific / technical congresses if needed.
  • Support the development and / or as a trainer of internal training modules for sales team.
  • Oversee internal training programmes for sales team and technical sales.
  • Communicate technical information and trends to rest of organisation.

Requirements:

  • BA degree or similar level through working experience, major in a relating field of expertise.
  • Freshers are welcome with good academic background.
  • Good knowledge about farm management, disease and feed management.
  • Willing to work on field and working with a team of technical specialists.
  • Willing to work with people from various backgrounds.
  • Energetic, initiator, connector, communicator.
  • Mix data analytical skill.
  • Customer (market) oriented with relatively moderate business acumen.
  • Computer literate (Word Excel PowerPoint) and aptitude with other software. programs.
  • Training, and coaching skills.
  • Ability in working independently and in team.
  • Willingness to travel domestically.
  • Attitude: Positive, dependable, honest, diligent.
  • Intermediate English skills.
